NC Land Grant Map Inventory

Thank you for providing this information for our land grant inventory.  Most questions are optional, so simply leave them blank if you do not know the answer.

If the map covers part of a county, provide a quick description of the area covered, such as "along the Tar River".  Enter ALL if it is the entire county

How are the properties marked?

Is there an index to the grantees?

What is the format of the map?

  • For websites, provide the URL
  • For images in a printed publication, provide the citation.  For example, title/author of a book, journal title and issue, etc. - whatever is needed to find it.
  • For paper maps, provide the location / repository that holds the map (State Archives, my home, etc.)
